Beeutiffle

I’ve wanted to try these for a while.  Found a lovely new Japanese store in town and pounced with glee on some Japanese fabric packs.  Finally got around to making some of these.  A bit fiddly,  I gave up on sewing and evenually got the stapler out!!  shhhh…. don’t tell anyone….  anyway that works pretty well to hold the petals together and then you cover the whole mess inside up with hot glue in the centre to attach the buttons. 

I scavenged some old jewellry pins and clips to make the backs.  I like them but the people I showed them to so far were luke warm about them.  Ah well.  But it has put me off wearing them :(   The Green one is large and the other two are small.  The light blue one I may glue onto a hairclip when I find one that is suitable.  I used silver wire to attach the layered buttons with that one.  On the others I had a very satisfying time smashing the shanks off the backs of the buttons with a hammer.
